  • 3500 LX4 Flywheel

    if mating a LX4 to a 5speed what flywheel do you use would any neutral balance from the 2.8-3.4 work?

    LX9? Any neutral balance is what you will want.

      no LX4 it is the VVT version it is the same block as the 3.9 i think.

        Well you still need neutral balance. Not sure what will bolt up and work though... Probably any 2.8/3.1 FWD mpfi fly wheel.

          yes the fwd 2.8/3.1 flywheel

          look at an 88 fiero, 88-92 cavalier, berretta, etc etc
          3500, 1280 cam and PR, ls6 valve springs, port and polished heads, ported lim, ported uim, 4.3 70mm tb, ported trueleo headers and y pipe ALL FOR SALE (minus the car)
          96 LT4 6spd corvette. 355, AI 215cc LT4 Comp CNC Heads, Prope SRS pistons, Ported intake, ARH long tubes, Corsa Indy Pace 4:10 gears
          2012 Chevy Sonic Turbo 6spd
          1970 M35A2 Deuce and a Half, Spin on filters, Turned up IP, HIDs, Flat Black, 11.00x20 singles.

            Isn't a flywheel from a 2.2 Cavi the same too? I think it is.

              It could be. The bolt pattern for the trans is the same IIRC.

                I went out to garage and compared the 2.2 cavi flywheel that I have to one from an '89 beretta 2.8, they appear to be the same.

                    My bad the engine is the LZ4 anyway the 88 fiero is the one i will use as it is going into a fiero.
