coolant routing for 3x00 engines...i need help

    coolant routing for 3x00 engines...i need help

    well i dont have the coolant routing hooked up right, and its making me feel stupid. ive got the inlet and outlets right for the engine. the heater core is not right, but it works...i have a resivoir tank, but its not right either.

    anyone have a pic of the black bleeder thats ontop of the water pump? can you show me where those two tubes are supposed to go?
    how is the resivoir hooked up?

    The 90 degree outlet on the black bleeder part goes to the tube that goes ontop of the LIM, but under the UIM. The tank is hooked up to the thermostat housing, and the rad.

      ive got the one that goes to the lower intake hooked up right, where does the other tube connect?

        is that heater hose correct?

            Ok on the circle thing, that is the thermostat housing which goes to the radiator. Well the circle can be one of two things. 1) a air bleeder valve, or 2) run a hose to the coolant recovery tank. It varies on vehicles. (mine has a return line, luminas have a bleeder) You should just use the air bleeder valve to keep it simple probably on your setup, but it's not self-bleeding then.

            On the attached image you can see where the rest goes. The heatercore output is in the LIM coming out where the thermostat goes. The return is labeled in the picture. The red circle on the coolant recovery tank is the line coming from where you circled it in your picture, the thermostat neck/radiator input.

            Here you can see the same routing at a different angle. Note the line going to the recovery tank from the thermostat housing neck, and the big hose going from the bottom of the recovery tank going to the bottom of the radiator.

                Nope. The overflow tank has a pressure cap.

                  gotcha...gonna have to think this one out for the fiero, it had a pressure cap on the engine and on the radiator

                      nope i got it, its just that my overflow will be seperate from my resivour cause the radiator is up front.....
