The 3.4 intake is all one piece and will fit but I think that you would have to get the fuel rail too. I'm not sure if it would work on a Fiero since your TB neck is already angled. It will bolt up but not sure if it will hit anything.

      lower intake

you are asking about the lower intake, and yes there is a difference.
The fiero intake has a third injector boss/ routing and a vacuum port for the throttle body (iac).
      Do you own a fiero?
If so do not try to change the lower intake, it does not flow any better, you will cause yourself problems.
You would have to change the tb plus find a way to re route the idle air to your intake from the throttle body.
You cannot use the upper either as it will interfere with the distributor.

i think he means the 3.4 iron head intake

yes you can change them, ive done it. get rid of the cold start injector, fan temp switch, find a new place for your vac line thats on the lower and all for nothing. its the same thing. i did it cause i converted to the 7730 ecm and didnt need any of that stuff.

          ?

The question was "are they the same".
No they are not " the same"
I even touched on what you would have to change.
Because they dont flow any better than one another, and if he is running the stock lower and stock pcm already, there would be no advantage to the swap as merlot stated too.

It would require everything merlot stated as well as I stated and for what?
          So why even do it....

Thanks guys, that answered my question. In case you're wondering, I'm making up a new manifold for my supercharged propane 3.4. I wanted to know if witch one flowed better I ended up welding in the injector holes and porting out a camero 3.4 piece. I like the look of the runners on these vs. the Edelbrock one.
