Are the same coil packs used for all the 96-current 60 degrees all the same? And do any after market company's like MSD make aftermarket ignition for our cars. And about the coils plugs and wires. I have heard of some cars not running well with platinum plugs and after market wires and coils. Do our cars happen to run into these problems??

the DIS coils are the same from 87-05, yes MSD(good) makes replacements, so does Accel (junk).

a word of caution, if you don't add heatsinc compound between the ICM and mounting plate the MSD coils will burn up the ICM. Hell, they still might anyways.. lol
Platinum plugs don't last in our engines for some reason, the newer Iridium plugs are very nice though. -
what is the ICM? and where can you find the MSD coils at I looked on their website and didnt find anything96' Z26.Comment

the ICM is the Ignition Control Module, it sits right under the coils.
they are part number 8224
