Well i got an update, I got my 97 PCM got swapped in to day and she runs, now i got to reprogram the 97 PCM and fine tune it. Hey Isaac I just repined the 97 connector and used all of the 95 PCM wires which made it easier, Bstuff.com is a little harder to do.

Wow, really? Ok I need pics and info!!! LOL If I don't have to swap the engine bay harness then that would be sweeeeet.

Got wiring diagrams and how to? What did you do for the trans switch, ABS, etc?

So what 97 connector did you use? the one that goes on the ECM and then ran the 95 wires to it?

          details please!

The ABS is on a separate system by it's self so no worries, trans switch the one that says if its in P R N D that one ? Yes i used the 97 ECM/PCM connector and then ran the 95 wires to it. I got the diagrams from Ryan at gmtuners i also got some from alldata to petty much I just trace the wires from the 97 ECM/PCM to the wires on my 95ECM/PCM , Some stuff i did not wire up like ac, EGR. I ran into a problem on mine i think the theft deretent on the 97 is disable it to start now but it did run very nicely ,i need to figure that out i might need a diff PCM that dose not have theft on it

Hmmm, with the OBDII engine harness swap you gotta go with the new ABS computer. But re-pinning I guess won't do that... Hmmm Interesting. No the one on the transmission itself, but I guess if re pinning it won't affect you instead of swapping harnesses.

You will need to run wires for MAF and change stuff for the EGR cause the old style is 3 digital, new is linear. AC should be easy to get going.

What PCM did you use? You need to use a 1997 Venture Van ECM as it doesn't have security stuff.

EDIT: you're only an hour or so away from me. Once you get this thing running maybe we should meet up!

Im using a 97 pontaic transport van ECM I pick that one up for $30 too see if it would work before i spend $100 on a the venture ECM. Like i said i'm not running MAF,EGR i'll have all that reprogramed out out the ECM, and AC, Yea the ac should be easy to get going. Yea repining the ECM is alot easier then pulling the harness and hooking all that stuff up. Yea soon i get it running right we should meet up .

You want MAF. I wouldn't program it out or you'll be at full line pressure on the trans and stuff. MAF is easier to tune too than MAP (speed density based). I'd wire one in. Just go to the junkyard and nab one. You cant find any venture ECM's for cheap? www.car-part.com tried there?

What are you using to tune? DHP or HPT? HPT supports the transport but not venture. So you're sure the transport has security enabled? Are they the same pin outs as the venture?

Would you be able to share the wiring diagrams? BTW I'm in Jefferson City.

I checked their last month and found a few, when i go get the venture ECM i nab a MAF.Right now i have nothing to tune it, I was going to send it to ryan at gmtuner.com tell him what i have done and tune or find a DHP tuner or find a ECM that does not have theft det and that is supported by HPT.

Sure let me know which one's and your email.

What injectors and fuel rail are you running? 3100 I assume but what injectors? You'll need to go bigger than 3100 once you can tune.

The 3.4 DOHC injectors and your stock pre-99 FPR is a great match for a stock 3500.

How did you get around the theft deterrent?

Needs a little cleaning up under the hood and it would look factory. You can use your old throttle body coolant neck and hard line to clean it up, and a little paint on the MAP hold down bracket. When we meet up you can see my setup, it really clean and looks stock.

It defiantly needs tuning or at least the BLM's re-learned. Throttle response is a bit slow there. Keep posting vids/pics and progress!!
