What say I swap the entire engine/trans from say a 2001 Grand Am GT into my 98 Malibu. If I could find a donor car that has everything intact, how hard is it to swap the harness as well? I mean, is it difficult getting the harness through the firewall? Is it even necessary to swap the harnesses? I know the 3400 uses a different plug on the egr valve. Mine has a smooth bottom and the newer one has a raised spot in it. From what I can tell, it looks like the newer plug has the same amount of wires as mine. Maybe just swap the newer plug onto my harness and call it a day? I'm really sick of my anemic 3100....lol. 160hp isn't cutting it anymore.....lol.
