how can they say it fits all three setups??? The 2.8 and 3.1's are three bolt cam attachments, and the 3x00 is a single bolt and its keyed... I'm missing how that works.

This isnt "made" for the 3.1 2.8's either, it just so happens our cam spacing is common and so is the way the gear attaches to the cam... 3x00 however is where its not... plus the 3x00 also has the cam retainer plate behind the cam gear were the 3.1's and 2.8's still use a button on the end of the gear IIRC...

I would love to have them send me a picture of that installed on a 3x00 cam.

Wow, talk about profit margin... damn!

Still doesnt change the fact that it will not work on a 3x00 setup.

I wouldn’t chance it... the whole cam attachment is totally different. The whole single bolt thing and the keyway are just the beginning; it also needs the oil grove cuts in the back of it for where the gear touches the cam retaining plate...

Just go with the pre 2000 chain, thats what I did, and since it's not a daily driver I will be able to replace it if necessary down the line.

heres the email i got back
                        Hi Brendan,

We supply the canadian market for parts for cavaliers. It used to be that the parts ordered came through the USA to us and recevied a hefty border tax and tarrifs, plus importing fees. This meant that we had to inflate the price in order to make $10 profit on selling most parts. This one included.

To continue, it didn't make sense for customers from the states to purchase from us parts that were available at Summit/JEGs or anything similar... Because the product would be originally purchased from the states, brought over the border, then back to the states again. Canadians wanted parts found it much cheaper to go through us, as we would buy in bulk.

Recently, with the canadian dollar being stronger than the US dollar, our prices have dropped. Unfortunately, we're dropping the 2nd gen line of products by July of this year, so there's no need to update prices to reflect the canadian dollar.

                        Hope that explains everything!

JBP is a joke. They say that the Crane rockers they sell bolt on to a 3X00 with no problems. Yet they don't mention guide plates, hardened pushrods or intake manifold clearancing.
