  • Wow, the cam adds a TON of HP... like 70 at certain RPM's. That is if the simulation is accurate.

Better hope your mounts hold up or it's going to slam itself into the underside of the hood.

      • He has a brand new trans mount, filled with poly, and a CNC poly dogbone from me, and a poly insert in the upper mount. I think he'll be ok with mounts, but yeah it's rubbing as is...

          • I think he is going to machine the spacers thinner. The corner of the plenum is rubbing the hood brace.

            • Cover the brace with some masking tape and hammer the area in a little. No one will ever know.
If he machines them thinner, wouldn't he need to put the groove for the o ring back in?

              • Well, his hood insulation is being ripped up too... So he needs to either rip that out or make them thinner. Either put an o-ring groove back in, or just use a stock gasket.

                • Hammered the brace yes, covered with masking tape no... OH well

It's clearing right now, I'll figure out if I want to machine the spacers down... yeah I have 3500 gaskets and the machine shop said they could put the o-ring groove back in if I wanted it.

                  • Did you remove the hood insulation? It also helps keep heat off of the hood so the paint doesn't get so hot.

                      • Well, I'm droping the car off at Great Scot, in Norwich tonight for tint... 15% on front windows and 5% on all rear windows... Possibly 10% on the quarters if they have that level.

I need this thing tinted before bfest, It will make it stand out so much better, even being two colors

After I get that back tuesday night I'll be pulling the drivers side axle, getting that replaced for a new one, (boot ripped already) and then I'll be possibly trying to put my 3500 plenum back on with a modified TB bracket for the mean time...

The car will be attending Eppings street night on friday of this week if all goes well... I need some times on this bish!

                        • TCE is making an adapter for the TB adapter since they were made too short for 3500 plenum use.

                          • Yeah I saw that, I appreciate it and for the mean time I think I'll find a spare TB bracket and hack it up so I can use the 3500 plenum at the strip... I want some good times.

                            • Adapter for an Adapter... LOL sounds funny. Anyways looking forward to your 1/4 times.

Jon, just get some spacers and longer bolts in the mean time, not much harder than hacking up a bracket... Local hardware store would work...
