Well just finished up the trans last night, I'm gonna source some washers tonight down at the race car shop and put some in since I didn't put the filter in yet.

Trans is 161lbs dry weight with no converter... CHIT thats heavy.

Hopefully the car will get pushed in the garage on Thursday or Friday evening and I'll begin to install this crazy drive line. Hope to have it running by Sunday at the latest... Open headers is fine with me

Theres gonna be a few weeks in there that I'm gonna have to fudge a few things to get it registered and passed through emissions... I need to get it inspected and such, so its gonna get stock treatment under the hood for that trip and the headers are gonna be tagged up with the stock exhaust to keep it in stock form.

A soon as its registered and gets through emissions then there is still tons of work... suspension is far from done, interior is still a mess, brakes if I get more money and then it still needs paint...

BUT yeah I would probably drive it a few times to and from work to be sure everything is hunky dory on it and not gonna break, but thats gonna have to wait till I get some more of the suspension done and the exhaust. I'm not driving it to work with a stock exhaust on it... might as well choke me. 2 1/2" header funneled down to 2" catback... LOL

Swap out rear axle for the Z26 one and bolt on the Z51 rear bar, and add in the gas-a-just shocks in the back. And then strut bar in the front, and possibly rear.

As far as your header goes, want me to cut the flange off totally and leave it just a 2 1/2 out the collector so you can weld a bent pipe on like I did?? Eric wanted his flange welded back on there so I did that for him.

Well if anyone besides Shane is reading this, the drive line will be going in tonight. Work will start around 5, I have to crack open the trans one more time since I forgot to put in one oil weir, nothing major but may save something some day And then the frame rails will get dropped and the trans put in place.

Honestly this is the most complete motor I have ever dropped into a car... The only things that still need to be bolted to it is the starter, AC, PS pump, and the headers, and connect it to the trans obviously... But typically half the top end is off of what I'm dropping in and there are no coolant bypass lines hooked up and such. So this install should go rather speedy... I'm hoping =D

I'll have pictures tonight of the progress.

Eh, I'm gonna take it rather slow, if I get everything I need done to install the trans then thats fine if not then it will just all be 100% ready tomorrow to drop that stuff in. No biggie. I have all weekend.

Oh there will be... Unfortunately you will not get the first start vid because I'll probably be alone and first start on a full driveline swap entails, running around checking for leaks, and making sure the trans has enough fluid... so yeah I cant yield a camera at the same time. Once I know it runs I'll capture a vid of it.
