i got a 94 3100 motor and i cant find much as far as after market stuff goes...
anyone know of anything...

Pretty much anything that works for a 3400 will work on the 3100. Just keep in mind there are a few small, but easy to overcome differences depending on what you want to do.

I thought the 3500 top swap wasn't exactly optimal for a 3100?

3500 heads won't clear the bore on the 3100, but you can use the 3500 plenum, if you use a 3400 lower, or 2000+ 3100 lower. On mine I have a 97 3400 lower, and 05 3500 upper.

Right it was the bore thing. I just posted that because someone put the link to the full 3500 top swap on here, and it should be clear that it won't work without overboring the 3100. Otherwise what you said will work.
