No, you can't use your 2.8 manifolds.

Are your 2.8 heads alum or iron? And when you say early 3.4 heads, are you talking iron (3.4L from the Camaro) or aluminum (3400)? Reason I'm asking is because iron heads and aluminum heads have different port configurations, therefore the manifolds are not compatible between the 2. But if you are talking iron to iron, its a waste becasue they are the exact same head.

not sure, whatever came on a 88 firebird?? thanks for the info, i take it when people say 3400/3100/3500 there talking ally then??
i would have though the early 3.4 firebird/camaro heads would flow beter than the 2.8's about 1994 ish ?

If its a Firebird, then they are iron heads (all RWD engines got iron heads). And yes, the heads are exactly the same between the 2.8 and 3.4 engines. There has only been 1 change in the iron heads, and it was back in like 85 or so. All heads since then, and up until 95 (when iron head 60V6s ended) are exactly the same.
