JMo60 how did you disable it you have a 94... Did you do a swap to OBDII so you could shut off the DTC?

actually it isnt disabled in the pcm, im still obd 1.5.. it is removed with a home made block-off plate. As long as you dont really get into it while cruising you dont get a check engine light.. hopefully i will go obd 2 and fix that deal

Yeah with your mods (camed and header'ed 3400) you'd gain some good power being able to tune. The damn SES light I can't stand and it's so bright compared to my gauges (I keep them dimmed down on the 2nd to last setting) that I made an EGR adapter to keep the computer happy. Other wise the whole EGR and tube would be gone to free up room.

The entire EGR set-up on my 3500 UIM has been welded shut. Gone! Nadda!

              No light, no adverse effects.

I needed the EGR port on my 3.1 for another reason so I too deleted the EGR system completely. Didn't notice any change in running operation. However, it does make it easier to get at a few things down in that nook.

Damn you older OBD1 cars!! Wait... you probably have it disabled in the chip anyways Yeah it would make a great vacuum port. My 3500 plenum with a 1/8" or 1/4" aluminum plate bolted up and drilled and tapped would provide such a source.

Do you data log your 3400 to see how well that AFPR is helping?
If you have an ALDL cable I have the goods to data log lot's of crap on the 94-95 3x00 cars. More than anyone else that I know as of right now.

It may take longer for my engine to warm up now with no EGR... but that is about it... can't really tell at all.
