Hope that stuff is not highly porous, if you receive a vacuum leak then you'll know 99% what it is.

Well if you have nitrous and fuel nozzles installed in it then it will see gas vapors... And likely oil vapors just from normal use.

I'm not going to make a mold. If I was, I'd use styrofoam & clay. That way the mold can be broken off the part.

Yeah, this stuff tools like wood but is very dense. It leaves a smooth finish when ground with a carbide bit.

Just a little update. I worked on the spacers for a while Saturday until my buddy's porting tool took a shit. Hopefully tommorrow I'll go over to the shop and work on them some more. All that is left is to finish shaping the ports and trim off the excess material. Here's some pics as promised.

I just traced the gasket onto the material.

Using a hole saw, drill bit, and drill press I roughed out the ports and bolt holes.

A little port shaping with a porting tool (die-grinder) and a carbide bit.

After I shape ports to the correct size I will get some sand paper and smooth them out. That way they are nice and smooth and port matched to the gasket. I also plan on port matching the intakes.

If you have access to a router, then you could use a flush-cut bit in it and just trace the gasket with the bearing mounted on the end.

Looks good so far I'm curious to see how it seals.

I'm curious to see how well that material will hold up to heat, oil, etc.
