77 Celica GT- 3400/3500 swap in progress (engine from the beretta)
I'm curious to see the quality of the sealed power set... I know now that Cloyes is quite sub par... The GM one that I used and sent out for the deep freeze has been holding up well, I may need to do a new center dampener, but I wont know till I look at it this year. I still haven't touched the car yet.
Do you put any regular mileage on it? or do you trailer it to the strip and only run it there. Just curious because that will definately change things as well.
No, I've put alot of miles on the car, I drive it alot. (not soo much this past summer cause the camaro took over) but I drove it alot. 250 miles a week for 2 summers anyways...
I'm tempted to go grab a Napa set just to see what it's made up of... If Mars's is still holding up that well they may be just as good as the GM set since mine is still hanging in there just fine.
Mars, what springs are you currently running? and what are the specs on the 1429 cam?
it's super mild. 210/214 @ 0.050 and .510 lift on both. Yeah the car has a rough life and it's been very reliable as far as the motor goes. Transmissions though, different story...
