looks like i am going to get my hands on a slightly used '05 3500 engine
that i will rebuild for a steert/strip engine. most of the parts i will be getting from the 60 degree store. the only others parts will be pistons and connecting rods, not sure about a crank. looking around it seems there is a 3.738 inch piston in forged or hypereutectic. the questions is i will more than likely use nitrous on this engine at about a 150 shot. since there does not seem to be a 3.73 inch piston for a .030 bore would the forged or hypereutectic piston make a difference in how the engine would handle this abuse. the pistons would be a keith black dish type piston. or is there another company that makes a 3.73 inch piston that would fit this engine. the 3.738 is th only piston i have found to a .030 over piston other than a .020 or .040.
