  • diagram of coolant flow on 3500

well im just waiting for my cam and reluctor wheel and i was doing some other small things untill they get here.

one problem i have is i dont know where any of the stock 3500s coolant hoses go and come from. specificly i just need the basics, radiator in and out and heater core in and out. my car has no other provisions for coolant.

    any info would be great!

The water pump big inlet on the bottom comes from the bottom of the radiator. The coolant thermostat neck goes to top of radiator. Black hard pipe coming from top of water pump comes from heater core. The black hard pipe coming from lower intake manifold goes to heater core. And on mine there is a coolant reservoir that has 2 small lines going to top of radiator, and from the thermostat neck, and then a medium one going to the big hose that goes to the bottom of the radiator..

ok thanks! the fiero has the reservoir up front, and its just a overflow, so there is no need for all the extra stuff. all i have is a heater core and radiator

is there picture diagrams of whats what and where it goes? that would help me understand a bit better.
ENGINE HAS INTERNAL DAMAGE. THIS MOTOR WILL BE TAKEN OUT OF THE FIERO AND REPAIRED IN TIME. UNTIL THEN, A L67 WILL RESIDE IN ITS PLACE

          3400.
that black steel pipe that runs to heater core.... can i just omit that and get the top hole welded shut? Then weld shut the heater core hole in the LIM?
I currently got it looped (no heater core), I wasn't sure if it part of the flow system or not.
sigpicHow to make High performance Emissions:
A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.

I had a pic at one time, no idea where it went. Not on my websites at least.

You want to keep the heater core coolant lines connected at least. Superdave tried just blocking both off and kept getting air bubbles and overheating.

Not sure if this helps any
