next time you talk to your machinist, can you ask whoever did the work on the crank how much power can be thrown at it? it'd be a nice reference
    thanks

I'm not sure if they will be able to give an example because they don't get much builds like this.

I've never heard of a stock 3x00 crank blow. And this includes a few 12 sec cars that i've seen on the web.

I'm just guessing but I'd say it should be ok to 400whp or possibly more on a stock crank.

I'm pretty sure the crank is finished. I could be wrong with that statement as well. All that I know is that this engine shop is top notch.
You dont know what you paid for the work and you dont know if it is done? Did you pay for it and did you have the work done? I am confused.

Circle track racers have seen micro-fractures from long periods of 6000+ RPM's. I have only seen one failure (due to lack of oil), and have pics somewhere - it was broke in half right near the 2 and 3 journals if I remember right.

He was claiming it's a large-journal but I don't see the reluctor wheel (unless it was disintegrated).

I knew the prices up front and paid in increments over 2 years and paid it off last month. I get the original prices cause thats when I put $$ down.

I used to grind cranks. Anything related to strength is thrown out the window when you spin a bearing and get friction welding temps above 1,000 degrees. I've only seen a few broken crankshafts that actually fatiuged and broke. It's the little things that kill them. Like a bad harmonic balancer. It all starts with a crack.
