  • Some questions about my cam.

I bought a cam from the store here a while back, without much research, or any serious thought into the direction of my mods. I browsed through the simulations of the grinds here in the store and basicly just picked something that had the powerband I was looking for. Ive nearly got all the parts for my engine build now, minus gaskets, fluids and some machine work needing to be done. Originally I was going to keep it "cheap" and build an N/A motor, then spray it, since Ive already got a kit. In all likelyhood, its going to turn into a turbo setup now.

I bought the 1615 grind, along with the custom pushrods. Is this going to be any good for a turbo, or should I look into one of the new turbo cams?

Well for a more optimal turbo grind the LSA should be wider to help build cylinder pressure. An LSA of 111 is quite narrow on a cam with so much duration. It is a pretty wild cam for any build

It's only got 60 degrees of overlap.. but no, that's deffenetly not a turbo cam.. or a nitrous cam.

If you want to boost or spray sell that setup and pick up something with a 114+ LSA.
