  • Thinking of running true dual exhaust on my 390...

What do you guys think? I wanna run true dual on my 06 Malibu SS...would make the exhaust sound deeper running a true dual...The piping is easy to do and can run the pipes down the channel...how will the computer see it if you split the exhaust? is there one sensor right where the pipes join after the cats? or are there two sensors one at each Cat? That is my only concern is that the computer won't see the exhaust right if it gets split and that it might mess up....

I think it's been discussed before , and it would be a waste of time and effort. There is no performance reason for doing this on a tranverse mounted fwd car. You can get plenty of flow with a single exhaust and go as big as 3" easily. Having two pipes adds weight and cost.

on a stock '660 true duals sounds funny.. there was a guy that did TD's on his G6 and IMO it sounded terrible.

Like Dave said, it sounds funny. I did duals from headers back years ago, but that was on an old 3.1. Though most 60s have pretty much the same sound.
