These dyno programs are never perfect, you'll never really know untill you fire up the car and tune it on a real dyno.

Yeah, I was just giving you a number since you gave one. My header dimensions aren't accurate for his setup either:P If I put in something closer to what it should be, its 294. Besides, I have no idea what his true port dimensions will be after porting either.

All the literature I have read tells me an engine CAN have over 100%

            I agree with both accounts.

            Three rules to follow:

            1. You get what you pay for

            2. You can have fast, cheap or reliable with parts. Pick any two.

            3. You can have good, fast or cheap with labor. Pick any two.

Ben, what you got for my situation? You know what I'm doing, and could use your help here. Do you grind flat tappet cams?

Are you going to machine the heads to clearance before coil bind? You will have to with the 1386, and its recommended for the 1280. You don't have to on the 1280, as I know it will run just fine but more clearance wouldn't hurt. That or run the comp 26986 springs that allow an easy .600 lift (coil bind is .660). The 1280 is being used on a street driven vehicle now (getting tuned).

that'll give you an idea of the overlap.. more overlap = less idle vacuum / higher idle..

in that chart, 1 is around stock. the upper end of 2 is about max for a street driven V6..

Stock is 32.2. 109 ICL with 114 LSA on the 1386 is 52. Hmm, this gives me something to compare with on my turbo cams as well Thanks!

so the 1386 sounds like the winner. with the .040 head gaskets.

what size injectors does the 3500 have, and what will i need?

ROL makes a great graphite gasket for the 3.4 iron head. .045 compressed which gives you about .035 between the piston and head. They're about $10 each at Autozone.

                          I'd start off with 32lb injectors.. the stock LX9's are 24lb M2's.
