alright, i think i got most of it down but im not positive on a few of the specs they wanted

this is for a 3400 and 3500 heads

1. compression distance?

2. rod length? (bottom of wrist pin hole and top of bearing hole?)

3. pin diameter?

4. piston pin fit? yes or no

5. cylinder length? (top of cylinder to bottom? cant really get a good measurement)

6. rod eye? (i think its where the wrist pin goes)

7. pin part number?

8. pin float/press? (float right?)

9. wants to know the ring groves and radial wall. i dont have any pistons...

10. valve diameter, vp depth, and valve angle for intake 1, center intake, and exhaust


i plan on calling them tomorrow if i have time, but i thought i would ask you guys too

1. Depends if you want it stock or not, but stock is .0465".
2. 5.7"

4. depends if you're sending pins with
5. not sure, just measure the average length

7. don't believe GM sells them individually
8. depends on your prefrence, do you want them pressed in so you don't need spiralocks or do you want them floating and held by spiralocks to make disassembly eaier?
9. 1st-1.5mm, 2nd-1.5mm & oil-3mm
10. not sure what the specs are for 3500 heads, forcedfirebird can help you out there

Wiseco has made 3400 pistons and 3500 pistons. They should be able to do everything based on their previous orders.

They stick out of the hole .02125 for 3400 and something close to -.010 for the 3500. I think I posted it before when I measured it.

I agree with you Ben...they SHOULD be able to refer to previous orders and group buys from the Pontiac sites ....buuuut.....when I contacted them last week they sent me a custom order form as well.....this thread will help out a lot cause I had no idea what Info I need for half the form.......thanks for the post guys

3500 I do not, but Im sure you could ask around on here and get the part number from someone. Farmer perhaps? Midnight?

0.020 overbore pistons, but they can change that easily enough if you want. All the other 3400 specs should be there.

Also just a note for us Canadians, Wiseco US will not deal with Canadians. We have to go through the Canadian branch. I dealt with Adam. Well, actually I had my engine builder deal with Adam after I was referred to him by Keith. They both seem to be good people.

no im not sending it with pins, i dont have any...

for clyinder length they said its from the top of the engine to the center of the crank, straight down. and to take it to a shop


and for the rings they dont have those options.. the guy i talked to today said they dont really need those, they pretty much make that choice

Cyl length is the same for all 60V6 blocks (except for MAYBE the new ones) - 224mm OR 8.82"

Specs for that job are:
Bore= 92.5mm
Stroke= 3.310"
Rod length= 5.700" w/ .905" wrist pin
Block Height= 8.835"
CH= 1.480" (zero deck)
Piston Volume= -26cc
CR= 10:1
