  • Best UIM for a 3900

I've been thinking about building a 3900 for my Fiero. I've heard that a 3500 uim will swap onto a 3900 lim, if this is true, which is better? I would also like to run a turbo in it, still have to done more research. Also any ideas on cam profiles, turbos ,compression ratios, and TBs.

The 3500 manifold that's based off the 3900 would probably work, but I'd imagine that it'd be worse than the 3900 manifold that's already on the car. The manifold from the 3500 based off of the 3400 will not fit.

If you can't control the 3900 variable intake properly, then the 3500 intake is probably the best bet.

Did you see Joseph's turbo 3900 Fiero?

Yes I've been following Joseph's turbo 3900 build. He's using a twin turbo set up though. I'd like to keep my 3" exhaust and headers.

on the 3900 is the intake controll a simple on/off setup, or is it pulse modulated??? if its an on/off thing you could run it with an rpm activated switch.

Yeah I don't know if it's PWM. If not a RPM switch would be the way to go defiantly.
