If I swap the topend with the 3500.....do I use the 3500 pushrods in order or do i use the original 3400 pushrods in order....may sound stupid but I know I have to use the pushrods in the order that they come out but on the swap which ones?

        Thanks

EDIT: Pistons will be fine if tuned. You can get a boost cam profile for a few extra ponies, tell the supplier what you have and they will give you suggestions on profile.

Stock rods are very strong, just upgrade hardware.

If you overbore, your compression will be raised. Keep the walls as thick as you can for boost.

EDIT again: I can't believe you put a S/C on there with NO extra added fuel?!? I hit the rev limiter on my car causing a lean condition and spun a bearing at 7psi. Sounded like a cannon going off, lol. Rods will be comming out soon for inspection, but the pistons are all fine (stock cast).

you should measure a 3500 headgasket.. the bore is actually like 3.74" VS the 3.4 Iron head gasket that's 3.71"

I know that they are the same ....but......whenever you do a topend you should put the same pushrod into the same hole it came out of......I dont know which ones to use in the case of a swap.......the 3400 blocks pushrods or the 3500 block pushrods......or does it matter....the 3400s pushrods are the ones the cam knows and the 3500s pushrods are the ones that the rockers know........I just want all to be happy,,,,,,,,input?

The statement you are referring to - "put the pushrods in the same place that they came from" - is usually just to make sure that people get the intake and exhaust pushrods back in the right order, since they are different lengths. So, you could mix and match your 3400 and 3500 pushrods all you want, AS LONG AS the exhaust pushrods go with the exhaust rockers and the intake pushrods go with the intake rockers.

Maybe it's because mine were used..??

                            weird.

I'll check again, they're still hanging on the wall.
