  • Yeah I used to bag stuff. I wouldn't label it cause I could figure out where it went by the other bolts in the bag. But now I don't need to do that anymore. I found some bolts when I cleaned the garage and thought for a minute and was like OH yeah this is from ___ since I changed to the different intakes. LOL

That silver/chrome looks damn good in bright aqua metallic cars. Would look just as good in mine I bet.

Well did you fire it up yet?!?!

          • Heres a short vid of it running!

I think this ECM is handling this cam/motor very well. It idles GREAT, doesnt search for an idle, and RPM range seems VERY smooth ( up to 2500RPM, havent gone further )

Ill still need to drive it for a little bit before I can datalog it, but so far so good

On a side note, Id like to THANK everyone here that helped me with this project! Your help was HUGE in getting this running like it is now.

                • Cool. How else would you datalog it? TunerproRT is the only thing out there for 1.5 other than ScannerPro which is related.

                  • The OTC tool I have here will give me a print out of every function. Ill be able to read the whole system. Ive got a print out from the 3100, I should probably post that to see what you think.

                    • Oh yeah that's right. Sure post it up.

I like ScannerPro cause you can play back and view everything in real time. Even use analog gauges. TunerPro is good cause you can reset codes with it, but for some reason it can't record the datastream without corrupting it on obd1.5, so play back doesn't work.

                      • yeah. I have only 1 problem with it right now. The Low Oil Level light keeps coming on. Any ideas? I thought the ECM didnt look at that, Like the way I understood it was the circuit was open until the oil level got below a spot on the sensor and the sensor closed the circuit, curning the light on...

                        • Should of swapped pans... LOL j/k. Either you disconnect the sensor and let it hang, or ground it out and it will shut up. I forget which.

                          • haha. well right now the sensor is hanging, so Im guessing I need to ground it out?! Although with it hanging there, the oil light doesnt come on 100% of the time. its kind of random when it comes on.

                            • Oh well maybe the sensor is being moved around then? Tape it up so it can't move downwards! Or try disconnecting it and see what happens then.

                              • disconnect the sensor it wont set the light. i did that when i initially swapped in the 05 3400 without the sensor in the pan. drove around for a week with it partially dangling and no light for me.

all i did was cut the plug off and wirenut the the wire and tape it all up and stash it up on the subframe.
