WOOT, got it running about an hour and a half ago. I downloaded the BFAU bin from the site (thats the same bin actually in my ecm) and put all of the fueling, timing, and VE tables from the j-body bin that Dave sent me. I went out to the car, hooked the laptop up to the Ostrich, and uploaded my new BFAU bin. Put the key in the ignition and cranked it over. IT FIRED UP IMMEDIATELY, UNBELIEVEABLE! Wow, does it sound good even with no exhaust. After letting it run for about 10 min. at different rpm I decided to do a little test drive. The tune still needs a lot of work and it is a little rich but it is suprisingly close . I need to close my throttle plate a little and that should help it idle better. After having it running for about an hour and a few short drives I was thinking; hmm I wonder how this thing is going to get out of the hole? Well, I stopped and the gave the go pedal a little shove and whoa TORQUE. Only ran it up to not quite 4000 rpm, but man it was pulling. Went back later and it appears that a LSD is needed, BADLY! I'll try to get a few installed pics up soon.

Your pistons have STD's....
the 3400/3500 option in his thread means he has a 3400 lower end... not upper intake.

I am currently getting a little over twenty mpg but I think that will improve. There are a few factors limiting my mileage though. With the gearing that I and and the fact that my my trans likes to shift around 3200 rpm, I spend most of my time in the 2700-3200 rpm range. Plus, with the torque the engine has it is hard to resist getting up to the speed limit as quickly as possible. LOL Hopefully I can tweak this thing and get a little more mileage.

For not being fully tuned that's pretty good with that gearing /etc like you say.sigpic New 2010 project (click image)

Yea, it doesn't want to shift into third gear until 38-40 mph so it spends a lot of time in second gear in town hanging around 2800-3000 rpm. The muffler that is on there now has to go, damn lucky that I haven't gotten a ticket yet cause its so loud. lol Friday night when I got home from work I ordered a NEW SET OF S&S HEADERS and cut-out. I have all the info I need to mod the headers and when I put them on I am going to go to dual mufflers. ISSAC, this means that you may have a chance to buy the other headers I was trying to get.

The headers arrived today, the cut-out, 45* pipe and the new mufflers came Wed. Now I get to do the mods and get them on the car when time allows. Man I cant wait to see what kind of improvement they make in performance. If the car could lose about 200 lbs. I know it would be in the 13s. Don't know if it will get to the track this year because I'm running out of time, but I'm going to try damn hard to make it.

well, to give you SOME idea, i have the S&S headers to 3" pipe that tapers down to 2" just before the rear axle, and back to the stock muffler. that was the only this i did related to air flow and my stock 3400 GA really like it. i'd have to say it added 17-20 hp, extended my top end by 200-300 rpm, and helped the 3500+ powerband. well worth it! if i got that on a stock 3400, i can't imagine what it'll do for you!Andy
