Has this been a problem for anyone? Oil leaking after a FFP pulley install? Wasn't their a newer Pulley version that was made to help prevent an oil leak somehow?

Does yours have a steel outer insert? Did you change the seal when you installed it?sigpic New 2010 project (click image)

they all leak IIRC.. they were machined slightly too small.
Mine hasn't started yet but I'm sure it will...

Theres a seal on the timing cover and a keyway on the crank. That keyway and the shaft NEED some sort of RTV. Thats how the factory seals them. If you dont put the RTV on and let it seal up ~1day before driving it, it will leaksigpic

I had the same problem until dad helped me find the problem. That outer ring must be spotless and slightly scuffed before installing. If it's not or you have any kind of groove in it, then it will leak. A quick way to correct this is use some 400 wet/dry and a little elbow grease.Your local OBDII moderator

best thing would be to get a speedy sleeve for it. for those not farmiliar with what that is, its a very thin (about 0.002" thick) sleeve that fits over the snout of the balancer. its designed to fix something that has a groove from were a seal rides. this would be the perfect fix for this.
