Why not make a custom lower intake manifold to mate the M90 to instead of modifying the upper? Or is the M90 too wide?

That's the idea, but have you ever seen and M90 up close?

Oh ok, I misunderstood. The only setup I've seen was the guy cut a chunk out of the upper manifold and mounted the M90 on that, which is what I thought you meant.

No, I haven't seen an M90 up close, don't know anyone with an L67 nor have a seen one in a junkyard.

I've actually been wondering what the cost would be for a custom lower intake to mount an M90 onto, would definitely be interesting to see.

I would like to see what this new LIM looks like for the M90 setup. If you can save 2.5"+ from the traditional mount on UIM style setups that would be awesome and I might be interested for the right price.

I imagine it might be possible but the runners would be close to non-exsistant. But with boost especially roots style where you make it right off idle it may not be that much of an issue. Cruise without boost might suffer power and mileage though. The main problem is the 60* is narrow so anything on top of the heads has to sit up high. That's why the lower intake is part of the valve cover. Everything is packed so tight.

But yeah back on topic, Dave when are you getting pics/vids!!!!!!

13.992 @ 103.64MPH was my best time of the night, it cooled off nicely but right after that we got rained out so i didn't get any more runs in..

I'll post up the timeslip, videos, dyno graph and the dyno run breakdown sheet with wideband data later (been a long day).

25 hp less then your expectations but still very impressive numbers, for what really boils down to not much work.

Heads, cam and intake, picked up 100ish hp.

Are you nuts... 232 and 238 duration vs your 206... thats a HUGE Difference.

the lift is close but damn that duration is whats getting him the power. Plus all his race porting setup... HUGE ports FTW!

Thats one weird dyno graph... I dont know if I would trust those numbers.

Is there something you know of that would be causing those peeks and valleys? because thats nuts... Its like a instant gain of 50hp right before you hit your peak... That would feel like a nitrous hit.

Can't argue the slip though... I musterd a 13.818 at 100mph, so with you hitting 103 I'm sure you'll be mid 13's when you get a better day.
