does anyone like fidanza make a light aftermarket flywheel for these motors-specifically for early 90's cavs and lumis?

Not sure how some resellers have theirs listed. Since places seem to only list 3rd gen models or something (guess they'll sell better). If you find that as the case, the 3rd gen cav with the 2.2 (95-01) use the same flywheel as the 3.1/2.8. That might help you find one.

i was gonna say-because ive found plenty for the 4 clyinder cavs but none for 2.8/3.1 cavs/lumis-and would that flywheel work on early 90's lumis/cavs with a 3.1?

As long as it's for the 2.2 (or 2200) OHV engines. Note: the 2.2 ECOTEC flywheel will not work.

The 2.2 OHV uses the same flywheel as the 2.8 and 3.1. If you look them up at any parts store or a dealership, you'll find they have the same part number.
