Im going to find a way to pipe the MAF in with out a intercooler. I will do that later

My Bad. every gear was working corectly but it wasnt kicking in to 4th gear, no forth, Do to no MAF i believe, cause the MAF controlls the tranny so I read alot of guys that have a failed MAF thier 4th gear does not kick in at WOT

No maf = limp mode for tranny

I can't believe they would allow that to happen? Z-Spec cough RSM that is.

Losing 1psi is nothing. You will gain more horsepower from cooling the charge than 1psi will give you... Plus it doesnt sound like your car is running so great with the problems you have had/are having. Its going to be much more reliable with an intercooler and MAF in there.

you may lose 1psi, however you will gain way cooler charge temps and end up making more power.

                  google for DIY intercooler .
there you''l find several examples of OEM(read cheap) used intercoolers.
they are listed with size/neck sizes.

keep your eye out for turbo volvos in the junkyards, they are about the best factory intercooler. also turbo dodges and not a bad size. and for the money, the cheap e-bay intercoolers are actualy pretty decent.

                    • I agree on that sharkey.
there are aso some saab IC out there although not as much as
                      we have here I suppose.

but then again it's not the square inches that count...it's the cubic inches
that are responsible for their effect,a good placement is also a good thing.

                            • 3" is a little on the big sid, no? What size is the comp outlet on your S/C? I used 2.5" with good results (larger can slow velocity).
