Yes still here...and still have the Monte....couldnt bear to sell it....so it looks like if I donr sell the kit....may try and put the monte back to pre blow up status...this time with a real tune..........been playing around with the 3500topend idea before I put the charger back on......i have the Monte back to stock and off the road so i can play now...............this time taking my time ......thinking it through.........He def needs an FMU at the least......i know all to well what happens when you lean out under boost.............................

      BOOM

      Not good....really F s up your day

on second thought from my previous post.....the pre charger MAF looks good in the PFYC picture but it in that position..... precharger......... wouldnt work.....the MAF tables would be calculating fuel based on eronious info....ie ....no boost......i like the FMIC idea......makes much more sense.............in at the least a post charger big MAF

        It blew up?

I cannot believe these systems are not exploding rolling out of the shop with no MAF/Tune, and no FMU.

Yeah the real way to run this kit would be with a FMIC and MAF. There's simply no excuse not to use a FMIC since it's not a roots blower and you can actually plumb the output before it goes to the motor.

Aside from running lean/blowing up, these kits must be super weak on power. Expect tons more power once you get the correct fuel for it.

Yes...the biggest issue is enough fuel when it needs it...there are some out there that are using 30 pounders from a trailblazer and a AFR and a smaller pulley getting a lot out of the kit with the correct supporting mods. I have seen no dyno #s though to back the number claims............I am hoping this dyno tune will give everyone some real numbers to chew on...........i wish JohnV6 the best and anyone trying to get this kit to work....it has the potential to be great or blow up....most blow up........that would be me..............but I need to get up and keep tryin

OK So I got my Car dynoed today my HP was 198
And my torque was 352 lb
WTF is that........I will post the PDF soon as its emailed to me.
                LOW LOW HP...WTF
I couldnt go higher than 10 psi cause my damn belt kept slipping, couldnt handle it. I need to fix that. It was loose so I will try tightning it before my next run.
My Car was running hella lean, They couldnt believe it didnt blow on the way there, they fixed it and made it run properly.
Its running good, I should say safe. We couldnt fine tune it cause everytime they tuned it for high hp the belt would slip. I have a Bin for the tune they did if any HP Tuner guys wanna look.
I was very disapointed. I wanted 300 HP but damn 352 torque thats bananas. It kept burning out on the dyno, lol
And my tranny kept jumping gears so it made it real hard to tune. I think thats do to no MAF. We started to tune the line preasure and gear shifts but it got late fast. So more to come dont count me out. My set up lasted a whole tank of Vicious high reving torture. I was happy it stayed together, lol
But yeah Im tighning the belt, changing tranny oil, changing the plugs, Changing the clamps on the SC air hoses, IDK if there holding at 12psi it felt like they were leaking at high preasure. After that Im back on it to tune it better and get that higher HP

Yeah don't get to excited about the torque reading, its not correct. What gear where you dynoing in?

Weak power numbers for a S/C 3400, my G6 put down 197.5 today. Has anyone with that kit Intercooled it yet?

Good luck anyways, it should be killer once its tuned.

                    Z-Spec dyno numbers

                    They are 198 HP
                    And 352 Lb of toque

yeah WTF with the low HP. IDK were working on it. My belt kept slipping on anything higher than 10 psi or so.

Anytime we would get higher HP the belt would slip causing improper readings.
So I need to fix that before I get more apropiate readings.

And peek horse power was.....Well we couldnt get an acurate number cause the dang belt kept slipping bad.

Once boost kicks in its rediculous. After 10psi it pulls like a mother, barking tire on the dyno.

We got it tuned to a safe drivability. Not lean not dangerous.
yes thats with out a MAF

im very proud of the torque numbers but dissapointed we couldnt fine tune cause of the belt. Oh well I got a better understanding on how to use my HP tuners software by watching them.

the high torque numbers are probably because it wasn't in 3rd or whatever gear.. what's the ratio's in your tranny?

a guy posted results from a turbocharged 3.1 on V6Z24.com a while back with similar results.. crazy high torque and way low HP..

thirds 1:1 on the 4T45. I remember a friend of mine getting his 2001 Z24 dynoed they did it in first and got a reading of 150WHP ad 900 torque.
