  • s&s header fitment question

Hello this is my first post here.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the s&s headers will fit a 1999 N body malibu. I currently have a intake , 62mm throttle body , ported upper and lower intake manifolds from 60 degree store : ) - MP racing tune , billet crank pully , billet and polyurethane front tranny mount and 2 1/4 custom exhaust.

thank you for your time and it's good to be a member here.

99 Malibu should have the 3100, and most likely the small port version (does the plenum have lines cast into it?). Considering the headers were designed for N-bodies, and I think 99+ (possibly 00+), they should fit no problem. Best bet would be to just verify any firewall and downpipe routing differences between your car and a 00+ Malibu, GA, Alero.

It did have the small port intake manifolds stock. But , as i said above i got a ported set of large ports. Does anyone here know if there is a diff in the routing for the downpipe? Any help on this would be very appreciated.

Yes, the heads are still stock. I plan to do heads and a cam later on. The heads and cam were going to be my last mod. So , the headers will not fit otherwise? Or would not be worthwhile until heads and cam? Or just won't fit plain and simple?

Well mine fit with help of a sawsall, hammer, welder and lots of time... 4-days IIRC.

As long as you stick with the 3x00 style motor the headers will fit the heads all the way up to 05. I have 04 3500 heads on mine.

Their site lists 99 + grandam/malibu/alero for the downpipe, I'm guessing the header is the same. Email them?
