  • Got my hot new package while i was out of town

My cam from ben came sat while i was away at the track.

Well while i was at Bfest NE a package came for me. It's my cam and pushrods from 60degreev6.com.

now all i got to do is get the gaskets for the engine and start sourcing a trans, cause i know the one in the car will throw up on itself.

    now on to the parts
    1357 grind from 60degreev6
    Custom length pushrods from 60degreev6
    Ironhead 3.4 pistons
    .040 Ironhead head gaskets
Shaved heads and opened combust chanbers
    ported/gasket matched upper and lower.

been talking with Jon about the transmissions so most likely ill find one and have Jon tweak it over the winter.

not worth rushing to get it done in a month or two, id rather take the time and do it right rather than rush it and f somthing up. and ill prob find some other mod to do in the mean time.

definately need bigger brakes in the front and i need to get the rear discs on too.

New hotness on the left Old Stockness on the right

New Cam with the custom pushrods

End shot of the numbers(shakey hands FTL)

Oh yeah and what i ran over last night. click the link

4t65e ftl!!! SO MUCH wiring needed in a L-body to do that... first you would need a compatable ECM, and then you would have to repin the ECM harness for the engine bay to work, and then add in all the trans wires needed for the 65e...

I want to do this but its way too much work for my daily driver... Maybe he will go for it though.

Best bet on the 65E would be to use a standalone controller.

Yes. But, if you want a 65E, would you rather go through the hassle of wiring it to work with a stock PCM (possibly needing upgraded to one that will control it), then mess with the programming in the stock PCM, or wire it up with a standalone (prob not too difficult) and then have an interface designed to edit only the tranny. Initial cost might be higher, but I think it would pay for it in the end.
