hey sharkey, ive got some good info for ya if you want it. im in your same situation with my fiero. just got it dynod and im looking at 151hp at the wheels and 190trq. its rediculas. the heads i had were ported to the max, yet the machine shop wouldnt regrind my valve seats and spring seats on them cause he said they werent gonna work. so i went back to the stock heads with the crane 272 and comp 1.6 rr. at around 4400-5000 the power just falls way off. its retarded and very dissapointing. this is with the trueleo intake and headers. there are several points ive brought up to francis about the intake, he wont fix them. check out grapeaperacing.com for some formula that will help to create an intake that will actually flow where we need it to. ive already done all the calculations and have all the data you will need to make the best flowing intake for our iron heads. i just need some one who can weld and is onboard with my concepts to help me. if youd like i can post this data up for all to see

he's been wanting to sell his car lately, so its good to see the encouragement from you guys. i think his engine can make some real power if we get some parts to match the rest of the work he's done.

id be lying if i said the car wasnt for sale. after last week when i had something on the car break every day, ive decided i need to have a more reliable daily driver. now not saying im going to sell the car, but if i keep it i need to find a shop were i can store and work on it. if i do get a place to work on it, ill likley pick up a 2nd gen v6 5 speed j-body as a driver and tear into this thing, but ill be taking a different route with it. if its not my daily driver ill be freed up to do all the things ive wanted to. plans are to strip the car down, get the body work and paint done, finnish the interior and stereo, and get the thing turboed. however if im not able to find a shop i can rent, then ill most likely be selling the car, or parting it out and buying a cobaly ss/sc.

ahhh Steve..you know you cant sell it

There isnt a single modified car out there that hasnt pissed off the owner at one point or another. Just coincidence that the events happened at similar times

And you know you wont be happy with the cobalt...anyone can buy a quick car. I have driven many newer cars...not a one will ever give me the feeling of pride as when I drive the sunbird..no matter how much "better".

We need to get that thing painted and looking even better than the old one.

Maybe this weekend a few of us can get together and work out some ideas for the intake

              built..not bought...

i love the car, dont get me wrong. there is no better feeling i get that driving a car that ive built myself thats completly different than everything else on the road. i really do want to keep it. what it comes down to is 2 days last week i was late for work cause of car issues. the biggest thing is i need a reliable car to get to work with, and im unable to park 2 cars at home. i have had offers to park the car over winter, but without a place to work on it, whats the point??? im doing what i can to find a shop, however without a shop, what can i do???
