  • 3100/2,8 carb heads?

I have a custom street rod project w/94 3100/4t60e. Short block is 1mm over w/flat top pistons and stock roller cam. 2.8 iron heads,Edelbrock intake and carb, Hei distributor. Will 1.6 rockers add enough spring pressure for roller cam? If not what springs? Why are Edelbrock intake runners smaller on one side? What will comp. ratio be? Thanks

Convert your iron heads to LS1 or LS6 style valve springs. Do not use stock springs from the iron heads. They are shit springs. Edelbrocks intake is like that because the TES headers they sell are the same way it is designed to create a different power peak on each bank. This design really makes for a flat torque curve. Alot of people freak out when they learn this fact and I don't know why really. On a V8 with a centrally mounted carb or throttle body you can have quite a large power curve difference between pistons simply because of the difference in runner length. As for you compression ration you can use the calculator on the side.

I have a set of used 1.6 roller tip rockers and high energy pushrods from Crane, that I don't need anymore. I could sell them for $125 shipped to the Con. US. They were only on for a few hundred miles, my car only sees about 1000 miles a year and I've had them for about 6mos.
