I wonder if that is an error, or if they decided they fit "good enough" on a wbody to list them... at least under 1 wbody.
Well, the downpipe with flex is listed for 1999 and up Monte Carlos. I would assume that the same goes for the headers. Even still, the 1999 monte carlo was a 1.5 gen W body I believe. And, if that's true, then the headers wouldn't really fit on the 99 because of firewall clearance issues. 2000 and up Monte Carlos shouldn't have any issues with the headers fitting. Well, with the exception of the passenger engine mount.

I guess I should have said that they will not fit the 1988-1993 GEN 1 W-body. The firewall was redesigned in 1994 when they went to the newer catalytic converter. My 1996 Grand Prix has more room and would only slightly hit, but my 1988 Cutlass Supreme, and my 1990 Grand Prix, not a chance of them fitting.

On my rear header, I not only had to move them closer together, but I had to shorten it a little bit. I will have to dig up a pic of it. It did flow better than stock, but it was still not even close to optimal.

I have seen them listed for the 3100 Monte Carlo, but that has the redesigned firewall.

When I say REDESIGNED, I mean the ones where the catalytic converter was moved closer to the front of the car. If you try to use a 1994+ downpipe WITH THE CONVERTER on a 1988-1993 W-body, it will physically not fit. The catalytic converter will hit the body.

I want to say that in my 1988 CS, and my 1990 STE, the converter is about 1 foot - 1.5 feet further back than my 1995 CS, and 1996 GP.

I can take pics if you so desire.

no, these aren't going in my Z. my GASE. i'll have to get a tranny before i do anymore to the engine. my GA has a "tuned" PCM. as far as the bash, thought it was over, don't know where it is or when, and most likely won't be able to attend. as much a i'd LOVE to.

If you go to www.ssheaders.com they don't list headers for the 3400 in the monte just the 3800. On the headermaina site though it shows up, but when you click it, it does not show the monte as a vehicle it fits. I believe it's a typo.

After all you had to cut your front mount, I doubt that they would sell that and require you to do that... I'm betting its a typo.

Eh, who cares. I got headers on my monte carlo and that's all that matters, right?
