  • RSM S/C driveshaft broken(need help)

Well damn, right when I get my car running better than it ever has my driveshaft to my S/C goes out.

Ity sounds like a screaming banshee, loud scheeching noise, and the shaft vibrates. Has anyone had this problem, Im guessing my bearring is out but not sure. If so where can I get that reinforced bearing. I think someone mentioned it here once.

    Has anyone had this problem????????

Everyone with the RSM unit has had this problem or will have. You need bearings, a keystock piece, and some more loctite. onefastv6 has posted on what he did to upgrade an RSM unit if you want to do a search.

Don't drive it like that or it will probably take out the S/C.

Disassemble it and take the bearing to a bearing store. They will supply you one to suit your needs. Don't buy a generic bearing for pumps or low speed applications.

Funny you mention that. Cuz I just saw an RSM s/c kit on Ebay with the exact same problem. Broken driveshaft.
