  • 3500 heads on 3100 block?

I'm curious about building a screaming 2.8. Could I use early 3500 heads on the 3100 block? What's better about the 3500 heads over the 3400 heads? Are the valves optimized for the bigger bore like the LS7 heads are over the LS6 heads?
    Current:
\'87 Fiero GT: 12.86@106 - too dam many valves; ran 12.94 @ 112 on new engine, then broke a CV joint
\'88 Fiero Formula: slow and attention getting; LZ8 followed by LLT power forthcoming
\'88 BMW 325iX: The penultimate driving machine awaiting a heart transplant

    Gone, mostly forgotten:
\'90 Pontiac 6000 SE AWD: slow but invisible

You have to bore the block to fit the combustion chambers. Valves are same location and size as 3400. 3500 heads outflow 3400 considerably for most of the lifts. We have pictures and flowsheets and other identical questions to this for using a 3.1 or 3100 block.
