So what UIM do you have then??? The link I showed you was for a 99 UIM. The one you posted is for a 2000+ style.... I guess you are looking at a 2000+ UIM now and the 99 is the one that was smashed? Either way it looks like you know what adapter you need. Actually sounds like the 3400 you thought is a 99 isn't or either they varied styles in 99. But it's probably not a 99 since you said the rockers had the smaller bolts that won't match up to your heads....

What parts and gaskets do you have in your possession right now?

I figure that the 2400 I am looking at is late 99? But if the rockers have the smaller bolts,I suppose they wont screw into my head? The 96 3400 was the smashed one... I have no parts right now,and miss matched heads, which I am not happy about.. I have a complete 3100 gasket set....

I think I need to acquire the other 3400 head,LIM,UIM,and some rockers that have the larger bolt in them..I did see a 3100 out there that had roller rockers..

Get your heads figured out first. The 96 smashed 3400 you can rob it's rockers and stuff, and also get it's Lower intake, because it's already tapped for your coolant pipe. Then use whatever upper is available and the corresponding EGR adapter for it. Yes a 3100 with rollers will work too for the rockers.

Got my 3400 parts today One problem though,The left rear bolt hole/ear on the UIM is cracked and I will have to get it welded, other than that, the parts look good.. The head in the picture,is my 3100 head,Just opening the ports up as much as I can..

Hey guys I never did ask about push rods, but the ones I pulled from the 3400 block match the length of my original 3100's so I assume that they will work,Roller rockers I grabbed from the 3400 look good in place, and I was able to grind out that crack in the LIM,and weld it myself, cant wait to see if that weld holds lol ....

Yup pushrods are the same. Don't mix up the exhaust and intake ones though remember! The weld should hold the UIM isn't bolted down that hard.

Also, keep in mind that the pushrods are also not put in the same position either. They are like intake, exhaust, intake exhaust, exhaust, intake.

                Or something like that.

Point being to make sure you don't mix up 2 of them and bend a valve.

What I do when I remove the pushrods is punch some holes in the top of a box, and mark which end is the front of the engine, then push the pushrods into the holes to keep them in order.
