3400 in a 98 Sunfire Question

Will i just bought a 2000 Grand Am 3400 motor and i am aware the 3400 motor will bolt up to my 98 isuzu 5 speed tranny. Since i just got the motor i was wondering what else i need.
Did the 2000 Grand AM have a MAF (mass air flow) sensor?
In the haynes manual i got for the 99 to 00 grand am it does not have any pics of the 3400 motor. But the 3100 motor looks very similar it shows the motor having a AIR Solenoid valve, AIR Check valve, and an AIR Pump. Would i need these and what do they do to the motor?

MAF, Yes. All GA engines from 1996+ have MAF's.
The AIR system is just a california emissions thing. I would take that shit off.
And your isuzu trans really isn't recommended for the amount of power that the 3400 can make... if you decide to mod it at all...

ok the air system on the motor would it be ok just to plug up the holes there is 4 tubes that come from the air solenoid.
Also i did some work on the tranny to hold a turbo charged 2.2 so it's ready.

Yes it would ok to just plug the holes, or just buy new pipes...

Thanks for the info. i got to see a stock 3400 with out the air system and it looks like the cylinder head is what they used to tape into. so i could not just buy pipes.
