WOW a 31000 motor, thats HUGE!!! HAHA

Actually best thing to do would be buy a Hayens manual to learn how to remove these two mounts. The top one can be rather tricky since you need to support the motor from the bottom and going back in the bolt holes amost never align without rocking the motor back and forth.

Passenger side is easy, two bolts in the wheel well, and then the ones inside. Put a block of wood under the oilpan, and a floor jack to just barely lift the motor to support it when taking off the mount.

As far as the trans mount, I've never taken it off but it doesn't look friendly to me.

There is also a lower dog bone torq strut too that you can stiffen up on the passenger side. FFP stopped making billet poly ones though. RKsport.com might have them? RKsport.com aslo has a poly insert for your upper passenger side mount that might be easier than squirting the window weld in there it's only $15 or so.

Are you going to fill the spaces around the rubber with it or are you going to totally remove the rubber and fill with the poly? Let us know how it turns out.

Thanks for the info.I am thinking i will completely fill the the upper mount with poly,im not sure if im going to remove all the old rubber or just fill in the gaps though.I havent decided yet.As far as the tranny mount i looked at it ,but still dont know if or how i want to get it off. Also i already took off the stock dogbone and filled it with quick steel, which seems to have helped out and works good.Although i think i am going to get a piece of steel square stock and try replacing the dogbone with that. Thanks again. Update! I replaced the lower dogbone mount with a piece of 1/8" steel square stock and i noticed a great improvement in shifting with minimal vibrations.I also filled the upper and tranny mount with window weld.I havent tested it yet with the mounts filled because it its still drying.I might have to get another tube of it too.Im not sure yet.So far i would highly recommend replacing the dogbone with a piece of steel.Ill post the results of filling the mounts after i test it tomarrow.Trav

I wouldn't take out the rubber as that might mess up the alignment of the mount location. Just fill in around it and that will stiffen it up plenty. I have an aluminum/polyurethane front trans mount from RSM, and I took out the side and rear mounts and filled them with liquid urethane from Mcmaster-Carr. They are plenty stiff now.

Well,i just got back from my test drive. After just filling the mounts(just filled in gaps) i notice an increase in shift firmness and a little more vibrations.Overall i am very happy with the results and would definently recommend doing this mod.Trav
