Those gauges have just the right size but unfortunately and possibly a good reason they are for sale so cheap is the limited range of function. My engine pulls at least 20 inches of vacuum at idle or more depending on the temperature and although I'm only running about 7psi of boost I intend to run at least 10-12 with my swop and more importantly I intend to run a gauge on both exhaust manifolds to monitor back pressure on each bank since I'm running twin turbos with the intake pressure gauge in the center so I'll know where my crossover point is or more directly the point at which back pressure is too high for the boost level which should be much higher than 12psi.

Right, they look like OEM NOS. From some sort of OEM engine from some machine. For me I got it because it looks cool, and if I ever did go boost 5psi is probably enough unless I had a project car and went all out. I don't have it hooked up right now but I believe the needle does go past the 20hg mark.

So you're sticking with the 3500 twin turbo project? Nice.
        ..
Come on Dave stop toying with the exhaust and finish it!

Nope, I'm just using my 3500 to finish building everything up, when it's time to go in the car a 3900 will be bolted to the 6 spd.

Sorry to hijack, but I've never seen you post pics of talk about your projects very in depth Joseph, for awhile I was beginning to think you were all talk.

/hijack, Dave, you know how I feel . I wish this car was going to be in Williamsburg Saturday.

My projects: twin turbo and 6 spd manual swop are and will be volumous and it's just to much to keep up with across two forums given the number of pictures so it's updated on the Fiero Forum with pertinent bits posted here.

Hooker aerochamber Crossflow.. 3" in/dual 2.5 out. It's more high pitched now that i have the tailpipes on it. Still sounds good though.

If you feel like driving another hour to Davenport you can see it in person

I'd drive it but if you saw the datalog i posted on V6 it's running lean, also having a few other issues. I'm going to make some adjustments tonight and burn another chip tomorrow.. hopefully get it safe to drive around.

Thats how all exhausts are I guess. You put a tail pipe on a muffler and it takes out some of the deepness. When I put on my ultraflo I didn't get the tail pipe and tips on and went ahead and drove it that night. It was just a super loud deep deep deep deep bassy tone while cruising at 1-2krpm. After that it got quiet. With the tail pipe on and tips it sounds totally different and isn't loud while cruising.

So you went back to the cross flow eh? Did that make it more quiet?
I bet it's running lean with the better flowing motor and then a cam and headers on top of that! hehe. That thing will probably eat a lot of fuel at WOT!!

i fixed the problem with the o2 sensor.. no more lean.. she's just rich now.. LOL

datalog is posted in my thread on V6Z24.

I forgot how much extra heat headers create in the engine bay, i'm half tempted to drive w/o the hood for now.. hopefully they'll be getting coated soon.

I understand about not wanting to drive it with that tune for sure, not on that engine. I may take you up on the drive if I'm feeling froggy, use it as some inspiration to finish my swap up.

Joseph, nice builds you have going. Nice to see pictures and details. I hope you know I was being sarcastic about the all talk thing. I didn't know an engine would fit in the passenger side of a fiero either, haha.

Keep your eyes open "Grass Hopper", I've done a lot of things in this area that might surprise you.

I understand about the doubt which can be irritating when the achievent claim itself is reasonably questionable and there is no data or pictures to support it, yet the guilty party continues to heap more unproven accomplishments on top of it. The 700 hp 3400 comes to mind.

Also with the limitations on attachments that you can run into on the forum I probably would have easily exceeded the capacity and that's no good to somoeone who needs the info and demonstrations. On the Fiero Forum the picture size is limited otherwise you can post as many as you like.
