Almost seems like it would be cheaper and easier to turbo the stock engine?

I still dunno what I could do with the AC on a 3500. I kinda need to keep it since I need defog.

Yes the TB adapter from the store here, and the 65mm unit, or the stock 52/56mm unit with custom paper gasket or RTV. Or a ford 5.0l TB modded to work with linkage and a bolt hole or two on it widened out a bit. Or swap on a 3400 or 2000+ 3100 plenum.

Swap timing cover and crank pulley from 3100 so you have the 24x sensor.

Having a 2nd car lets you hot rod it. You could drive the 2nd car and hot rod your nice one too...

Don't forget to put in some larger injectors and use the DHP to tune it. The stock 3100's will max out I'd say or be close to it.

    3500 swap questions

I have been considering trying to find a "cheaper" 96 white coupe GP to use as a project car and swap a 3500 into (maybe even a boosted 3500).

What all is required to make the 3500 work?

    -Crank Trigger
    -Different TB
    -Fuel rail from 3100
    -DHP Tuning Goodness

What am I forgetting? Anything else off the 3100 I would need?

I'm told the AC won't work... any solutions to this?

Maybe it would be cheaper/easier in the long run to find the same car, but with a good engine... and boost the stock 3100?

    Thanks.
Working...
