Aftermarket Iron head gaskets for the 3.4 Camaro. they're made by ROL. they are graphite and .045" compressed. like $12 each at AutoZone. I called and got all the specs from a tech at ROL.

    lmao..

stock iron head gaskets are .040, these are slightly taller, not sure why...

Ben has a great selection of cams in the 60degreev6 store, it all depends on what you want to do with the car... I just wanted to break the N/A Jbody record so i put in a huge somewhat impractical cam that probably won't idle below 1500 RPM.. haha

Vortech supercharger makes the V1. It's used in the import market allot. I got mine on eBay with Intercooler and megasquirt programable fuel injection. Total cost so far $900.00

why mega squirt? its a make your own when you could use a chip emulator?

any way. how much was JUST the supercharger? do you have an example of the charger like a picture or info? i can't seem to find it. i might not be searching right but i put in "v1 supercharger" and it gives me stuff for thing that it does not apply to. i don't see anything specifically for the 3400 like an intake and intercooler and pipping.
You know that sun viser that doesn\'t quite go down when the sun is there and then when you are driving with it down and you can\'t see the stoplights ? Well... that\'s why my fiero isn\'t at the shop yet....

That's where your having an issue. They don't make them for the 3400. That's why i'm going to loose my AC on my Fiero. Also a Fiero has no PS. I got a good deal cuz i got one piece at a time. Megasquirt is being used so i can use what injectors i want to use. Also looking at building my own intake. here's a link of where i got the idea.

Well at this point either way i am going to go with a 2000 up 3400. So i am going to go ahead and do the swap. I would like to basically do what you are doing with your supercharger- but actually using the moates.net system the ostrich i can use whatever injectors i want with keeping my harness and computer with out messing with it. and i can technically use my old injectors until i can tune it with the original injectors on the 3400. So i think i will switch injectors when i get a supercharger setup. But i have never made my own intake. if you have any designs that i might be able to look at so i can make it for my setup that i will be doing within the next month or to i wold be very grateful.

i also would like to loose my ps and ac just as you do. its pointless in a light car. i also used to have a fiero. but i am curious i am going to use a 3400 not a 3.4 from a f-body like i assume you are using because the motor mounts are the same you just have to relocate the starter if i remember correct. how much different is that 3.4 than the one i am going to use as far as the intake goes?

the DOHC 3.4 wont fit in a Jbody without cuttin the firewall i believe

my goal with my 3400 setup is 250whp, all i know is i *should* be somewhere around there, with my luck i will be under lol

I'll post up some pics later on of a 3.4 DOHC in a 2nd gen. I have to get permission first though...

It really dosen't fit very well.

You have to get permission? Chris has already posted pictures on here before, in the swap area. Do a search and I'm sure it will come up.

The most efficient way is to turbo your 3.1, in terms of money. For longevity, I would go with a 3400 and turbo that. To do it NA, is possible and should be passed this year. If dave doesn't, eric hopefully will. High compression is a must if you want to keep it NA, but the good news is that 11.5-12:1 is safe. I want to know if 13:1 is safe

ok well point made- as i said earlier- i am going to stick with a 3400. i actually just found one for a 100 bucks out of a wreck a 2001 grand am.

do you have any pictures of what you are planning on doing with your intake or what you are going to do with the mounts to gook it up or a clue to any of that peguine?
