  • equinox UIM

    i was looking at a new equinox, and the upper intake on it goes out on the passanger side, instead of drivers. i would be curious if anyone has tried this swap yet. it may allow those of us in W-bodys to get a cold air intake, without relocating the battery. If there is the possiblitly of it fitting i may see if i can make it work.

    you would have to chech hood clearance. cause if iirc they are pretty tall.

        holy crap i didnt remember it sticking that far up.

        you could always cut a hole in the hood. but it wouldnt look as cool as a supercharger sticking out.

        on the other note does anyone know what the inside of that thing looks like. does it still have the runners.

          Cut a hole in the hood, and run some piping from the TB, to half of a stock air box aimed in front. Put in K&N drop in. Instant ram air!!! LOL

          BTW that's gotta be the best plenum out there since it's like a 3500 but the TB neck doesn't take up any volume in side, and it opens right in dead center, from the center top!!!

          IIRC it's like a 3500 inside.

            it would be a good plenum to cut the top off and weld a plate on and mount the m90 on it. you dont have any other holes to block off.
