    I have a 1988 Cutlass Ciera, 2.8v6, Th125c tranny. The only mod I've really done to this is intake, just removed the maf and stuck a chrome-finished aluminum tube in it that sits over the front of the engine bay for much better airflow.

    What could I expect with this chip performance wise? Say my 0-60 right now is aroudn 10 seconds, should I see that come down, and if so, by how much?

    Just looking for some answers before spending $130

    Im not sure what the hp gains equal in 0-60 times. Its .2-.3 faster in the 1/4 for every vehicle that has done before and after for a near stock motor. You will notice the different, or you can send it back for a refund.

    Did you swap the chip when you pulled the MAF?

      No, it's still the stock chip. I got the car last year, and there's bulletins all over it saying it was already updated with speed density software, so I pulled the MAF and have had no issues (just using an IAT).

      I know the biggest issue with my 2.8 is the fact it just dogs down after 50mph. I can get from 0-50 in about 7 seconds, but then from 50-60 it takes about 3 seconds. Is there anyway to address this with this chip?

        Specifically, no, not really. Its all in the powerband and gearing. I tried to get all the power I could through the entire RPM range.

          Alright.

          Shift points can't really be set in this chip can it? The TH125C is not electronically controlled, with the exception of the lockup converter, correct?

          It'd be nice to set shift points at around 4500rpm so that it doesn't try to crap itself at redline, and to take advantage of the low-end torque.

            Nope, no way to control shift points. Lockup changes don't really seem to make it do anything different either so I stopped messing with that.

              And if I do anything in the future that would require modifications, I can send it back and have it done right, and is that free or does it cost something?

                If you want limiters or egr settings changed, that is free. If you port the heads and change the cam, that is not free and I would need the car.

                      All I have is a maf-less intake I put on. That's it.

                      I'm just referring to any future upgrades I do, if any, as to being "meh" for the fact you'd need the car

                          Oh yeah, that.

                          Boy I never want to go back to using that EGR again, it doesn't do crap for emissions, although I do have a hole in my exhaust around my muffler so maybe that's how I aced emissions @_@
