About your heater hose--it's unclear from the picture where you routed it. Did you route it straight back between the distributor and coil? Or did you come out the side in the back?
On the other side, for the power brake, I turned the S shape vacuum line upside down and ran it forward under the fuel lines and out past the the thermostat, then coupled it back to the existing brake hose. It came out very well. I have a 9" chrome open element K&N filter with a open element mini push-in breather for the PCV air intake. My MAP sensor is floating around as I haven't seen a clean way to mount it. I took the paint off the covers and am polishing them out. They're looking really good. The open element filter gave me better throttle response right off and looks like it may improve mileage.
This guy on e-bay makes the coolest air cleaner nuts I've seen, the detailing is great, looks like it came straight from GM. Even has one for S10's. They're expensive but everything is.http://stores.ebay.com/JSMK-Custom-Creations
