i just got my 03 grand am gt and i cant find any good brands besides stock and stock just wont do it for me and in a month im about to run into some money so if u can help me brainstorm i would appreciate it

ZZperformance does a novi kit for the 3800. If they build that kit in house, which i think they do, there shouldn't be much of a problem getting it to work on the 3400. It's very similar to the rsm/zspec kit.

Oh wait, that's for w body cars. Still might be worth a shot. Maybe they'll cut you a break if they develop a kit using your car. Doubt it, but worth a shot right?

what you should be more concerned about than getting your engine upgraded is to get your transmission built. That stock 4t45e wont hold much and a super/turbo charger is defiantly going to destroy your stock unit.

i seem to remember someone offering that...oh yah, me. i have seen stock trans hold up ok, but they have to be tuned like anything else, of course good ins. is a good perf rebuild

but show me a car backed by a 4t45e that makes any real power. The fastest I've seen on GAGT.com is mid thirteens. I dont consider that "real" power. Show me one that is in the low 12's or better.

schweppe is going to run in those numbers...it is not that there isnt one look at tejohnson also, they are both big dogs, and scweppe ran that 13 on a bad tune and some other stuff. he paid well over 3 grand for his trans i know i have priced one. ill be running alot different setup on mine. IIRC he is still running stock gearing of 3.29, i am running 3.91 in my GA. and a higher stall converter, and alot of other things. plus the LSD. so mine will show what the trans is capable of holding and doing. ill have mine together soon. also alot of guys arent having problems with the trans, it is the CV shafts that give up the ghost. i have alot of interest in my rebuild, but no one has taken one yet. i will be the first to prove mine, and thats how i want it.
