I am trying to plan the exhaust on my beretta wondering what would be loud but not sound like shit I thought about a high flow cat then Y it off and run 2.5in tubing with summit turbo mufflers would this sound good if not what else could I do. I am also going to put on a cold air intake and maybe program it

If you have 2.5" coming off the headers/manifolds, you really don't need 2.5" in the duals.
One Magnaflow before a 'Y' to your duals will sound very deep and rich.
If you have 2" pipe running off your crossover or before the CAT position, then 2.5" out the back is not going to do you any good in the performance but it will sound deeper.
I have a Magnaflow before a 'Y' and 2.5" right from my crossover to my tips and it sounds fabulous.

2.25 single?? Its going to sound raspy..No? I supose you can't really get away from that when its a 60-V6. I got 1.5" Primary headers to 2.5" non-cross duals to selfbuilt muffs and they get crisp at 3+G's.. But I guess its all about what u think sounds good.. I dont like it sounding like a tractor or a 4cyl at low rpm.. Mabye a hybrid race-motor kuss Ive watched/driven too many racing cars. Need lest to say I have a taste for that racecar sound.. lol.. Mostly aquired by tubing diameter.. More flow= less niose lower end(ricer-noise), More HP(power)top end.. after doing lots of exhast's I can honestly say ive never seen a car loose power from too big of exhast, just tourque.. just the shitty exhast ports on most stock vehicals create enough back presure to make it run reasonable..VIDEO Acadian http://videos.streetfire.net/video/8...7f00197eea.htm

2.25 comes stock on j-bodies. a cat back with a flowmaster 60 series sounds real nice. the 60 series is designed for 4 and 6 cyl engines. it has a nice low tone.
i have 1.5" primary headers, dual 2" with no cross pipe, a pair of 3 way mini cats and a pair of 60 series flowmasters. at cruise, you wouldnt even know its running. its rather "crackly" and fairly loud at idle (big cam lumpyness), but at low rpm its pretty quiet. when i stand on it, above 3000rpm when it gets into the power band it sounds, well, i cant realy describe it.
