  • 2.8l boost

Just wondering, how much boost can a stock 2.8l made in 1988, safely take before running the risk of blowing it up? How much hp/torque gain could be expeced from the extra boost?

    Thanks.

i dont know really I have a 3.1L made in 91 the powertrain may be made with diferent materials I think mine can have 5-8 on 91 octane.

don't know if it helps much.

its common for a 3400 to support 10lbs with no internal mods and be reliable, it all depends on the tuning. id say with a 2.8l, run 5-8psi and as long as its tuned right you will have no issues.
