They flow better than ported and polished 3400 parts... so if you port the 3500 stuff then it flows even better than that... but to answer your question yes it flows better than 3400 heads and 3400 lower.

lol...yeah i knew about having to use the 3400 upper....the damn cowl gets in the way....i am just wantiing to get the HP up there....and thinking real hard about the 3500 parts...i am going to try to have an lt-1 throttlebody mounted to the 3400 plenum......isnt going to be easy though...the tb is huge....about the same height and width of the plenum itself...but i have a machineist that might be able to do it

um, the 3500 upper isn't that much taller than the 3400 upper.. like 1/4" -1/2" or so
i'll have to check for sure though..

well with the 3400 upper....the 1994 f-body only has about an eight inch of clearance...it rubs the cowl just a bit due to engine movement.....and that comes from the only guy i know who has actually done the top end swap on an f-body......believe me if i thought the upper would fit i would love to use it but the damn cowl makes things difficult for us camaro/firebird guys that and very little space in the engine bay...i have no idea how they fit a V8 in there....my 3.4 has almost no space as it is

i had the pleasure of changing the plugs on a 3.8 in one of those.. that was my first thought too "how do the V8 guys do this?" haha

Yeah, installing headers on a F body is no fun chore either. Having the engine that far back is great for weight distribution but makes working on it pretty hard with that much overhang.'97 Grand Prix GT 3800 (sold)

on the 4th gens, can't you do the install from underneath?

The V8 is a 90* motor so everything on top of it sits lower than a 60* motor.
The 3500 plenum has the vacuum stuff for the brake booster and accessory vacuum, that sticks up the highest on it. I'd think that would be the main problem. Depending on how you have the plenum facing TB front or rear..sigpic New 2010 project (click image)

yep the 3500 heads and lower intake look like my best bet for getting higher than 200 rwhp.......that and megasquirt to adjust the afr.....black34v6 who doesnt post anymore used the 3400 parts and ended up with a 10 to 1 afr...way to rich.....and still hit 184 rwhp....so my goal looks possible and i already got a good start with the aluminum driveshaft....that freed up a lot of hp....i'd guess between 7 to 10...i mean it is a noticeable difference....now to get the parts

i have a 10:1 A/F Ratio because the stock ecm is having fits with the 212/218 cam i shoved into the block...
to give everyone an idea: to get the "3400" intake to fit under the cowl of the 4th gen camaro, i had to shave off the "3400 SFI" on top of the intake manifold. and as stormwolf said, even then there is only 1/8th of an inch of clearance between the top of the plenum and the underside of the cowl. there is no way (ben and i have measured and compared) the 3500 manifold would fit unless you chopped a good section out of it.
